Installing Mods for Minecraft

this is a tutorial show you how to install minecraft mods

getting setup for modding
first you need a modloader theres 3 different kinds:
1. modloader (this seems to be going obsolete)
2. FML
3. forge (includes FML most mods now are starting to use it so i recommend using this)

then find the right minecraft version you looking for the modding api

after that download and copy contents of zip/rar to your minecraft jar.(winrar is a suggested program to use)
then delete the META-INF from the minecraft jar

run minecraft and see if it works

if it works then move on to next step...


installing the mod

next if the mod doesn't require you to put it in the minecraft jar then it will go into the mods folder.(most mods are like this)

read the install instruction for each mod you find some require extra apis and such.

ask any questions if you have problems with any mods.
